Craig and Taylor first met on a Sunday at Lakeshore City Church in Corona, California. Taylor was living in Virginia at the time, but eventually moved to California in March of 2020. They attended the same church for three years before Craig moved to Hawaii for work in June of 2023. Although they got to know one another throughout these three years, they did not date during this time.

Craig flew back to California from Hawaii to join Taylor and her brother on a hike to the top of Mt. Whitney. It was a draining yet incredible day with a road trip on either end and it was during this adventure that they realized they were drawn to one another.

Craig returned to Hawaii after the Whitney hike, but stayed in touch and it wasn't long before he and Taylor began talking for hours on the phone every night. On November 1st, Craig flew back to California to take Taylor out on their first date. After a short week together, he was back to Hawaii and it was the start of a long-distance relationship.

At the end of 2023, Taylor made the trek across the Pacific to visit Craig in Hawaii over Christmas. Certain of the direction they were headed, Taylor began to make plans to move to the island of Oahu while Craig secretly made plans to propose. Both were excited to conclude the long-distance aspect of their relationship and live in the same state again.

In February of 2024, the couple traveled to Texas so Taylor could meet more of Craig's family. In the same trip, Craig took Taylor on a lovely little hike in Cedar Ridge and proposed on Valentine's Day. Taylor was completely surprised and happily said yes. :)

On April 3, Taylor moved into an apartment in Waikiki and now the two are only separated from each other by a short, mile-long walk through the tropical sunshine. They have contentedly settled into the routine of evenings together after work and weekends exploring Honolulu and attending a local church. Grateful for the quality time together, they are excitedly planning and anticipating their wedding.
